About

Tomorrow Was Here is written by Daniel Bengtsson, a Senior Expert at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and founder of the Futures Sweden network. He has led foresight programs for the OECD, the European Commission, Swedish government agencies, and major research institutions, and holds a Master of Arts in History. His professional work sits at the intersection of strategic foresight, AI, and systems governance.

The series applies that background to a specific question: how do imagined futures become physical systems? World's fairs are an unusually clear case study - staged, documented, and historically distant enough to see clearly. The same mechanics operate in every technology conference, every government white paper, every corporate vision deck. The exhibitions just make them visible.

The past is not background. It is methodology.
